About the episode

Today we pay our respects to those who served our country. We had the honour of interviewing Michael and Brodie.  Brodie Moore was just 17 years old when he enlisted as a Rifleman and served in the 6th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR). He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 on Mentoring Task Force One (MTF-1). He now works a part of the Classics for a Cause x Veteran Benefits Australia Patient Care Team offering health checks to veterans in the community via mobile health services. Michael Lyddiard is a former Australian Army solider who was charged with dismantling a Taliban-made improvised explosive device (IED), when it detonated with a force so great it took with it his right arm below the elbow, his right eye and part of his left hand. We thank them for their service.  "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;  Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.  At the going down of the sun and in the morning  We will remember them."
